The St. Marys Golf & Country Club, established in 1931, is an annual member and pay-as-you-play, championship golf course. The original nine holes, the ‘Ainslie Nine’, were established in 1931.
Under private ownership since 1993, a new nine holes was constructed, the ‘Gowanbrae Nine’, in 1994. Designed by David Moote of Moote & Associates the new layout utilized the rolling St. Marys topography and maintained the degree of difficulty and playability of the original course.
Over the past 25 years, the St. Marys Golf & Country Club has undergone continual upgrades, the most recent of which are the 2014 and 2017 renovations of our Wedding and Event facilities where we play host to dream weddings, business meetings, social events and much more. The golf course has also undergone several renovations and improvements including the construction of a beautiful waterfall and pond on holes 9 and 16, an RCGA designed green at hole 13 built in 2008, the reconfigured, stunning hole 17 RCGA green and hole 18 fairway, and most recently, renovations to our sand traps. The changes only add to our reputation as one of the more challenging and picturesque golf courses in Southwestern Ontario.
